About me - Sandra Scott Dip Couns Dip RAM
My name is Sandra Scott Dip Couns, Dip RAM. As a qualified Integrative counsellor, professional singer and vocal coach I am able to offer over 20 years experience of working with performers and artists and therefore I feel I hold a unique position of understanding first hand the particular pressures and demands of the performer and creative person and in doing so work in a holistic way with a true empathy for the particular needs of people within the entertainment and creative industry, employing a non judgmental approach and sense of humanity at all times.
I work with an Integrative approach to counselling using a general Person Centered mode of working with a combination of Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Existential approaches in accordance with the needs of each individual person.
A Chance to Chat
There are times when our lives might seem to be getting just too much. An argument with a loved one, work colleagues not understanding, a bad day too many. Longer term counselling might not be an answer just right at that moment but a chance to be able to talk to an unbiased professional counsellor might make the load a little lighter. This is where a ‘Chance To Chat’ 50 minute session might be very useful.
The session can stand as a one off or be part of a short term group of sessions to offload and work towards a moving on.
We begin all counselling with a 50 minute informal introductory counselling session. This is a chance to meet and to talk through the best way forward for you in terms of your own situation and your own time frame.
This Introduction Counselling session is a special price of £30
Sessions then are £40 for a fifty minute session.
In counselling I offer a safe and confidential environment to explore the issues and meaning behind working with performance & creative issues such as stage anxiety & stage fright, creative & personal motivation, confidence, body image & artistic blocks. In our counselling sessions we would work together in a non judgmental way to seek a way forward to enable each person to find a way and meaning of life that is right for their own individual, creative & unique self.
As well as working with creative artists I also offer general counselling for all clients, not only those in the performing arts, working with issues such as, relationship issues, eating disorders, self esteem, body and appearance awareness, depression, loneliness and the many issues that every day life can sometimes bring & to places where we sometimes find ourselves.
I offer short term counselling as well as longer term counselling according once again to each person's needs.
I work to create a positive and inspiring way forward to your life and your creativity
Our Unique Combination of
Counselling and Singing
Because I realise that the process of learning to sing can offer a unique opportunity to discover and explore the many different emotions that are sometimes just below the surface waiting to be voiced, I offer a unique and special counselling/singing hour session that offers uniquely a way to combine the need to talk within the confidentiality and safety of the counselling setting as well as a want to express through the wonderful tool of the singing voice.
These unique sessions can be a one off session in combination with singing tuition or can be longer term .
